Kiinteistö Oy Auroranlinna is a property company owned by the City of Helsinki. Auroranlinna has about 4,200 privately financed rental apartments spread across approximately 100 sites around Helsinki and at one site in Kirkkonummi.
Many of the company’s apartments are rented out as company housing for the City of Helsinki. Furthermore, the City of Helsinki rents out some apartments as client housing. For these sublet apartments, Auroranlinna enters into a rental contract with the City division or enterprise in question. From the tenant’s perspective, this means that they are a tenant of the City of Helsinki unit that has provided them with the apartmentrather than Auroranlinna.
If there is no subletting queue when an Auroranlinna apartment becomes available, it is rented out directly to those looking for apartments, through the Stadin asunnot service. Matters relating to the tenancy for apartments rented directly from Auroranlinna are managed by the company’s housing service.
Auroranlinna purchases maintenance services, property management services, financial administration support services, and a number of other services for apartments and property repairs from a range of service providers.
